You will be graded on the following:
Attendance: Each student is responsible for his or her own class attendance, although regular attendance is expected. Attendance will be comprised of completing assignments, activity in the lessons, and completing the lesson role-playing requirement. Students who stop attending and fail to officially withdraw from the course, they will be failed. Be aware: attendance does count for 20% of your final grade.
Late Work: Late work is accepted up until the last day of finals. Deductions will be handled at that time.
Homework Collection: All homework and assignment must be PM'ed to me, unless otherwise noted. The subject of the message should be your name and what you are turning in. Please head all of your assignments with your name, ID, and the lesson number and/or title.
Engrade: This will be your only means of finding your grade. You can PM me with grade requests, but I will suggest you check Engrade. Engrade will allow you to see why you got such a grade and then you can ask me if you have any questions. More information about the system will be posted at the start of the term.
Quills: Students who complete the course successfully will be awarded one quill at the end of the term.
Dropping the course: If you find yourself in need to drop the course, please PM me so I can drop you from my office and gradebook. If you fail to notify me and fall behind, you will fail and not receive a quill.
This is the official O.W.L. & N.E.W.T. testing scale for the class. This is so students become familiar with the scores and the grades. I did not make this up.
In order to receive a quill in this course you must get at least a 70% average, or an “A”, over the entire term.
To drop this course at any time, simply PM me and ask to drop the course for you. If you have not completed one assignment by the time I give the mid-term test you will be dropped from the class and points deducted accordingly.

I would also like to thank Professor Emeritus Damien Masters for his wonderful notes on the subject, many of which are on this site. I give him full credit for them.
