Welcome to History of Magic.
In this class, you will learn about many of the most prominent events that shaped our magical history. Starting with the ancient Egyptians, we will examine how magic was practiced before the time of the wand. We will also discuss events that led to the separation of the two worlds; the Wizarding and the Muggle world. Such events include, the creation of Hogwarts, and the witch burnings in Europe and America.
We will also discuss the separation of society within our own world, specifically the Goblin Rebellions. From there, we will explore the rise of Dark Wizards, briefly hitting on Grindelwald and his demise, yet mainly focusing on Voldemort, The Years of Terror, his brief disappearance leading up to the Second War and eventually his demise.
